Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) is a leading European institution for management and business education and holds the rare distinction of triple accreditation through EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. GEM was founded in 1984 and, through continuous improvement of its academic and professional programs and of its intellectual contributions, promotes leadership in management of technology and expertise in intercultural management for a technology-intensive global economy. GEM’s innovative pedagogy places the value of individual personalities and teamwork at its core.
The Grenoble Ecole de Management is comprised of 3 schools: Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Grenoble, Ecole de Management des Systemes d'Information, and Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB). GGSB is the international division of Grenoble Ecole de Management and delivers English language educational programs. Its mission is to develop future managers by providing them with the international skills necessary to be immediately operational in a global, multicultural environment. Students who successfully complete a program at GGSB are issued a transcript by the Grenoble Ecole de Management, which is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), and AMBA (Association for MBA programs).
GEM’s programs have an international focus; the school attracts high-caliber students from diverse educational, professional, and cultural backgrounds and providing them with skills to meet the challenges of this new century. You’ll appreciate the opportunity to study alongside students from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.
Credit Transfer Information
Grenoble Ecole de Management awards credits based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) system. CEA CAPA credit hour recommendations are based on the following conversion: 2 ECTS credits equals 1 U.S. semester credit. Credit transfer is ultimately determined by your home university. Please consult with an academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
Transcript Information
Students receive a transcript from Grenoble Ecole de Management upon successful completion of the program. The transcript reflects ECTS credits.
Accreditation
Grenoble Ecole de Management holds the official accreditation by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation to deliver the Grade de Licence for its Bachelor in International Business program. In addition, Grenoble Ecole de Management is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and AMBA (Association for MBA programs).
Grading
Grade conversions from CEA CAPA partner institutions abroad to a US grading scale are determined in consultation with our School of Record and benchmarked with other peer institutions in the field.
Please note that CEA CAPA can only recommend grade conversions to students’ home institutions—it is ultimately at the discretion of the home institution to convert grades from abroad to students’ academic records.

Program Structure & Courses
You'll enroll in 2 business courses; each meets for 30 contact hours/2.5 credits. The program also includes a French Language and Culture course for 1 credit that helps you integrate in daily life in France. You may earn a total of 6 credits.
Business courses meet daily, Monday-Friday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
You'll spend the first 3 weeks of your program in Grenoble, then attend your final week of class at Grenoble Ecole de Management's Paris facility.
You'll be automatically enrolled in your courses. Discuss your home university’s credit pre-approval guidelines with your academic advisor.

Generally located in the town center, these apartments cater to the independent, do-it-yourself type students who want to experience Grenoble just as the locals do. CEA CAPA students studying in Grenoble have the option of living in a studio residence while abroad. The residence is conveniently located in the town center, close to mass transportation stations, and is open to university students and young professionals around Grenoble, making it a unique option to allow students to interact with the local student body. Students live in individual studios fully equipped, with a private kitchen and bathroom.

Excursions
Get out and explore! Excursions are offered for most semester, year, and summer programs. Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions. You'll receive a calendar of excursions during orientation; here are a few day and overnight excursions we've offered in the past.
